Staycee Pearl received her initial dance training at Dance Theatre of Harlem and the Alvin Ailey American Dance Center. In 2009, Staycee earned a degree in Studio Arts/Africanna Studies graduating with honors from the University of Pittsburgh. She went on to develop the creative production vehicle, PearlArts Studios with husband Herman Pearl, where they create artful experiences through dance centered multi-media works. She has enjoyed over 25 years as a dance, visual, and teaching artists, and has choreographed numerous musicals, and opera’s for universities, theatrical ensembles and opera theaters. As a visual artists, Staycee’s video and multi-media work has been commissioned by private individuals, curators, and dance artists.
